Thank you for your interest in the Prince George Parents of Twins and Triplets Association!
This is a letter of introduction to briefly outline some of the perks of being a member of our association.
Our group began in 1976 and presently consists of 75 families with multiples, including 2 sets of triplets. Many support groups are serious agencies designed to help other members through a process whether of understanding a disability or through a difficult time, we are decidedly a more light-hearted support group.
As a parent of multiples, you’ll find that it’s a demanding and exhausting role just as it’s undoubtedly one of the most rewarding and exhilarating experiences you will ever have. There is something very special in being a part of parenting multiples. Our objective is to be a moral support base while having a wonderful time celebrating the uniqueness of our families. While you can ask experienced members questions about breast-feeding, whether to put the children in the same room/crib . . . and the perennial favorite, "will I ever sleep again?" most of our support comes in laughing together about the problems we all face in parenting. We’ve all learned there are no concrete "right" answers in parenting multiples, and yet we can all learn from each other. You’ll make wonderful friendships with other parents who really do know what you’re facing with multiples. Experience is in itself a valuable perspective.
$25.00 per year membership includes:
…Coffee get-togethers
Everyone is welcome; usually held at (TBA) the 2nd (weekday TBA) of each month and at someone’s house the last Friday of each month (except December). There is no charge to you (the association pays any costs).
…Christmas Party
All members welcome. Santa hands out a present to each child. Members bring a small Santa gift for each child. The association provides snacks and refreshments. There is no fee for this event.
…Wine and Cheese
All Adult members welcome; a nice chance to visit with everyone; we nominate and vote on the next executives/president who will start in September; Eat and drink - do not have to be an executive (you don’t even have to run for a position, it’s a great night out).
…Summer picnic
All members welcome; association provides everything. No fee.
…Executive Meetings
All adult members welcome. This meeting is generally to plan for the following two months and provide information for the upcoming newsletter.
…General meetings
We hold very few real "meetings," these are usually social events, which vary.
…Ladies night out
All multiple moms welcome; held at a restaurant; you pay for your food and drinks; there is usually a gift exchange (optional)- you bring a gift (usually an ornament - $5.00) and exchange it with someone else.
…A Spring and Fall rummage sale
This is a fabulous event. We sell everything from toys, to baby equipment, to clothes, to white elephant items. It’s very well attended. Members and non-members can sell, buy, and volunteer. Members can shop early and avoid the rush!
…TANDEM (our newsletter)
Our newsletter goes out February, April, June, September, November; full of information; lists all events, executives, and list of business' that give us a discount.
mbers of our Club enjoy discounts at various retailers in the city, including: Zellers, Koops Bikes, Magic Cuts, Shoppers’ Drug Mart (Pine Centre), Flowers Flowers Flowers, Payless Shoes, Gingerbread Toys, The Strike Zone, The Bay, PG Dynamics, Homestead Health and The Driving Alternative plus more.
…Phone calls or e-mail
You will receive reminders for all events by telephone (or e-mail if you prefer).
...But, what if you don’t have time to come to anything!?
That’s okay! Many members do not participate in any of the events and are just interested in the discount card and newsletter . . . and that's fine. What ever you’re interested in - you choose!
All of the above events are for general information only. Everything is subject to change but the newsletter will keep you informed.
To join please contact us – now. If you’re pregnant this is the perfect time to join – while you have some time J
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me, or any other member of the Prince George Parents of Twins and Triplets Association. We look forward to hearing from you.
Most sincerely,
President

Dear Potential Sponsor
The Prince George Parents of Twins and Triplets Association is a local organization that is dedicated to offering moral support to the parents of multiples. Having and caring for multiples is challenging and demanding, and while we have a wonderful base of experienced parents to help address those challenges through personal experience and a resource library, it remains a financial challenge for those who have twins and triplets. Hand-me-downs of quality clothing are not available to parents whose children are the same size, and other supplies for raising our children are also a double –or triple—expenditure! Just imagine, two cribs, two high chairs, two (or again, three!) of everything.
We have enjoyed a wonderful partnership with many community-minded
We sincerely hope that you will consider joining our organization in helping us provide support to our local parents of multiples. We would love to hear more about your business and how we can help each other.
Most sincerely,
President
