Wasaga
Beach, ON: Multiple Births Canada
(MBC) encourages your input! Your
commitment to Supporting Multiple Births
Together is of great importance to Canada’s multiple-birth
community.
It’s
time for MBC members to recognize our peers and supporters by nominating
candidates for the 2005/2006 Making a
Difference Awards!
It only
takes a few minutes and the feeling it gives the amazing people who win is
priceless. The awards will be
presented at the MBC Conference in May 2006, but you do not need to attend to
nominate or receive this award.
This is a wonderful opportunity to acknowledge the contributions made by
others wanting to improve the quality of
life for multiple-birth individuals and their families in
Canada.
Is your
local chapter a success due to the tireless work of one particular person? Is there someone at the national level
whose commitment is "second to none"?
Are you aware of someone at the international level who helps to ensure
the professionalism of Multiple Births Canada or is working in an area that has
significant impact on our Canadian families? Is there a media outlet or journalist
that went above and beyond over the last year to create awareness for
multiple-birth issues, your chapter or for MBC? Do you know of an ADULT multiple(s) who
has “made a difference” on behalf of the multiple-birth
community?
We know
that there are many members and friends of MBC deserving of these awards so
go
ahead... nominate someone!!
Specifically,
MBC has five awards available for consideration.
To see
details on past winners and to download the latest MADA Nomination Forms click here, or check out the
Multiple Births Canada website at www.multiplebirthscanada.org and
select Volunteering then Making A Difference.
Please
submit your nomination for consideration by March 30, 2006. Your
submissions or questions can be sent by email to Katherine Romain at makingadifference@multiplebirthscanada.org,
by fax to (705) 429-9809, or by mail at Making
a Difference, Attention:
Chairperson, 28 Tom Edwards Drive, Whitby, Ontario, L1R 2R4.
We would
also like to hear from anyone who would like to be part of the committee this
year. If you are interested in
helping out with the decision-making, speeches or obtaining small gifts for our
winners, please contact us through email, fax, or mail as above.
We look
forward to hearing from you.
Remember without
volunteers, our local chapters, as well as the National Organization, would
never be able to touch as many lives as we have been able to. Let's
recognize those people who "Make a
Difference"!
