Secure Chapter Executive Section of MBC Website – New Passwords in place
MBC is happy to
announce that each member chapter has been assigned their own specific
password—to be distributed within their Chapter executive and key volunteers
only—for access to the Chapter
Executive section of the MBC website.
An email to your chapter MBC email address will be sent in the next day
containing your chapter password.
Be sure to write it down but if you do forget, please feel free
to contact the Business Office at any time (office@multiplebirthscanada.org)
and ask for a reminder.
Looking for information and resources to help you manage
your chapter?
MBC has created a secure Chapter Executive section of the MBC website, found
under Membership, to provide better access to information, announcements and
tools to help you better fulfill your important roles on your local Chapter
executive/board.
Find all the
latest membership forms and subscription forms, sample templates of a
membership database or a chapter membership form, as well as the Chapter
Handbook and Operating Guidelines that contains advice on the formation and
operation of a local MBC chapter. Look for updates to the Handbook in this
section, information for MBC Representatives specifically and tips on how to
promote your chapter in your community with the Media & PR Guide. Running a
local chapter can be a daunting task. Many others have been there, done that,
and have a wealth of information to share so take advantage of finding all this
information in one spot on the MBC website! Ideas are always welcome so if
you're looking for something and can't find it, let us know.
2. Annual General Meeting and Proxy Forms
– Cast Your Vote!
With the Annual General Meeting (AGM)
less than 3 months away (May 28th), we would like to take this
opportunity to remind all individual members that they are entitled to cast
their votes. While we recognize that a large number of members are unable to
attend the AGM, members can still exercise their right to vote by completing
and sending in a Proxy form to the Business Office or giving it to their
attending Chapter representative. By completing a Proxy form, you can name
another member to vote on your behalf, or even assign your vote to a member at
National whom you trust to vote in the same manner you would.
Please consider exercising your voting
rights even if you can't attend the AGM. This is your organization and your
voice counts a great deal. The 2005 Proxy Form (which includes the Notice of
Meeting) is attached to this Information Circular (IC). Chapters, please
circulate by any reasonable means among your members and be sure to mail in or
send the forms with your chapter designate on or before the deadline.
The Chairperson of the Board must receive
all motions for advance posting for member consideration no later than May 13,
2005, fifteen (15) days prior to the Annual General Meeting. (AGM Agenda to
follow)
If you have any questions about Proxy
votes or completing these forms, please don't hesitate to contact the Business
Office.
