Supporting Multiple Births
Together is of great importance to Canada’s multiple-birth
community.

be aware, this
IC requires your immediate attention. The Board of Directors at Multiple
Births Canada is excited about this opportunity to help increase awareness of
the multiple-birth community while providing you with an opportunity to raise
funds for your Chapter. Your
interest and support is crucial to the success of this initiative.
We
would like to present this opportunity for your chapter to order silicone
‘Support’ wristbands, as shown here at http://www.siliconeband.ca/.
Our
intent is to have the words “Supporting
Multiple Births Together” debossed on the outside of the burgundy
wristband, with our website promoted on the inside www.multiplebirthscanada.org -
in this way, the wristband will lead everyone to the chapter locator list, and
anyone contacting the MBC business office will be referred to the appropriate
chapter in their area.
The
cost to your Chapter is $2 per wristband plus shipping and handling. Your
chapter is encouraged to resell the wristband at a higher price with the
suggested fundraising value of $3 per wristband or 2 for $5. However, you may choose to sell at a
higher or lower price, or give them out for free. The choice is yours!
These
popular ‘Support’ wristbands can be sold in a variety of locations or at local
events. Consider placing these at multiple-birth clinics, hospitals and other
similar locations in your community or display/sell them at chapter events? National Multiple Births Awareness Day
is approaching – a perfect opportunity to get your chapter together, create
awareness in your community and promote these ‘Support’
wristbands.
For
those not wanting to use this as a fundraising initiative, you can also use the
wristband as a gift for your chapter’s volunteers, supporters, guest speakers,
and as a membership incentive for renewals.
Please
note: MBC will order the wristbands when we
have a commitment of orders totaling at least 1,000 wristbands. If your chapter is interested, please
advise us ASAP. Send your order to

by March 31, 2006 or call toll free 1-866-228-8824 if you have any
questions. Shipping and handling
costs will be calculated as per order.
If
these ‘Support’ wristbands are ordered, it is the intention of MBC to have some
wristbands in
inventory to sell at the national level and on the website.

Awareness Day, but all year round!
