intended to inform MBC members of work performed by the Board of Directors on
behalf of all multiple-births individuals, families and supporters in
Canada. It does not include the
many activities coordinated in the business office by our Business Services
Manager or the many worthwhile projects currently being handled by our valuable
national volunteers.

produced minutes for MBC Board Meeting in Chatham on May 25 to
discuss ongoing business

Planned for, held, and
produced minutes for MBC Health and Education Committee Meeting in Chatham May
27th, discussed ongoing business, workplan and proposed health
promotion plan

Produced
year-end financials for Annual Report and Annual General Meeting (AGM)
documents
·
Prepared
and approved other pieces of the Annual Report and AGM
documents
·
Finalized Draft
Strategic Plan and presented at 2006 National Conference
·
Prepared
display boards for
2006 National Conference
·
Prepared for and held
discussion on ongoing advocacy work related to the Employment Insurance program.
Sought and received approval to continue work in this area, including two
proposed letters to Government of Canada representatives.

and presented NMBAD lead event in Chatham on May 28

Coordinated
media interviews for NMBAD in Chatham during 2006 National
Conference

Helped
prepare Chapters across Canada who asked for assistance on NMBAD
·
Sent
out the NMBAD media release to close to 200 media outlets across
Canada
·
Finalized
statement for House of Commons for NMBAD
·
Followed up and
received responses from letters sent to three major drug companies, resulting in
a donation from Serono Canada of $2500.00
·
Produced
several ICs including volunteer positions and last minute deals for the
conference
·
Continued
consultation with Chapter Outreach Committee and produced an official statement
for the AGM
·
Met
with 2007 Conference Committee representatives
·
Contacted and set up
discount/affiliate program (Perfect Party by
Cody)
·
Contacted CRA to touch
base on Umbrella Organization Status with regards to Charitable
Status
·
Discussed individual
Board member’s involvement and intentions for 2006-2007

Wrote WebConnections
for Multiple Moments

Spoke with several
Chapters regarding their renewal and discuss other items pertinent to their
Chapter

Managed the online
