Multiple Births Canada is hoping to send delegates to the ISTS Congress in Belgium in June of 2007. As members of COMBO (Council of Multiple Births Organization) it is very important to have representation from Canada at this Congress where the most important researchers and medical professionals in the area of multiple-births will be gathering along with delegates from other national organizations from around the world. The proceeds from this fundraiser will assist with the travel expenses for MBC Delegates to attend the Congress.

Multiple Births Canada (MBC) recently joined the new Hbc Rewards Community Program. The new program allows you to actively take part in helping MBC by donating some or all of your points earned when shopping at the Hbc Family of stores – the Bay, Zellers and Home Outfitters, DealsOutlet.ca and Hbc Rewards Partners. You can donate points to up to 3 community groups simultaneously with a minimum 10% donation per community group. Of course MBC is hoping that you will choose to donate 100% of the points you earn so that as you shop for your family and friends, you will be making a difference in the lives of multiple-birth individuals and families across Canada. Each year the points are used during the annual conference to purchase Hbc Gift Certificates that are raffled off to raise additional funds for MBC.

Steps to Take:
If you currently have an Hbc Rewards Card or Account Number:
- Click on “Set up a donation” found on the left side of the page under Community Program.
- Click on “Search for a Community to make a donation” found in the middle of the page in the box.
- You may either enter Multiple Births Canada under the organization name or enter MBC’s ID # 8354036 to reach the MBC Community Page.
- Click on “Donate Points”.
- At this point you will enter the % of points to donate and for how long (you can choose up to 10 years if you wish…the length of time is entirely up to you!).
- Click Save.
- It will then ask you to verify your donation and submit
- Congratulations ~ you have chosen to help MBC to make a difference in the lives of others!
If you do not already have an Hbc Rewards Card or Account Number:
- Go to http://www.hbc.com/hbcrewards/
- Follow the instructions to enroll yourself to receive an Hbc Rewards Card
- You will receive your number at the end of the enrolment process (card will follow in the mail in 4-6 weeks).
- You can immediately use the number that you are given to follow the instructions above for setting up a donation.
- When the card arrives in the mail you can begin using it at any of the Hbc family of stores across Canada – the Bay, Zellers, Home Outfitters, DealsOutlet.ca and Hbc Rewards Partners.
For each new member that registers with the MBC Hbc Community Account, the account receives 1000 points to a maximum of 50,000 a year!
