(Back to Support Networks Page)
The Special Needs Support Network is for families where a multiple or sibling has a special need, such as autism, congenital heart defect, asthma, eczema, cerebral palsy, Down’s Syndrome, attention deficit disorder, diabetes, blindness, etc. Special needs include any physical or developmental disability that puts additional stress on the family. It also includes the challenges of raising a gifted child.
The Special Needs Support Network and support publications can help assist with:
- maintaining the multiple relationship when only one has a special need
- coping with differing levels of development
- effects on siblings and the family
- where to get help/support
- tips on how to make each child feel special
- recommended reference materials, reading list and organizations
- quarterly newsletter in Multiple Moments magazine
